Recipes and combos
A recipe is a food built from other foods. Build it once — the ingredients, the quantities, how many servings it makes — and the whole meal becomes a single row in the log with correct nutrition for the portion you took.

A recipe references its ingredients rather than copying their numbers. Correct an ingredient and every recipe built on it is right too.
Servings, not grams
You say what the batch yields, and from then on you log in servings. Half a portion of last night’s curry is a portion input, not an arithmetic problem.
Combos for the things that are not really recipes
A combo is the lighter version: two eggs, toast and coffee, saved as a group because you have it every Tuesday. No yield, no servings, just a set of foods that go in together.
