Weekly energy budget
Nobody eats the same amount seven days a week, and an app that insists they should is going to be wrong twice every weekend. The budget is set weekly and then shaped into days that match how you actually eat.
Shape the week, not just the day
Bigger Saturdays and leaner Tuesdays are a valid plan. You set the shape once and each day gets its own target from it, so a large Saturday is on plan rather than a failure.
A day does not sink the week
Because the budget is weekly, one heavy meal is a fact to account for, not a verdict. The remaining days adjust within limits you set, and the app will tell you when the adjustment needed has become unreasonable rather than silently proposing an 800-calorie Thursday.
Questions
- Does this mean I can save calories all week and eat them on Sunday?
- Within reason, and the app will say when a shape stops being reasonable. The bounds exist so the flexibility does not turn into a binge-restrict cycle with a spreadsheet behind it.
